Hyke launches on 25 November 2025
After months of development and testing, we're excited to announce the official launch date for Hyke, our revolutionary ride-hailing platform designed specifically for Namibia.
We're thrilled to announce that Hyke, Namibia's first locally-developed ride-hailing and logistics platform, will officially launch on November 25, 2025. This milestone represents months of intensive development, testing, and collaboration with local communities across Windhoek and beyond.
Hyke is more than just another ride-hailing app – it's a comprehensive mobility solution designed specifically for the unique needs of Namibian communities. Our platform combines advanced AI-powered dispatch optimization with deep local knowledge to provide reliable, affordable transportation options.
Key features of the Hyke platform include:
Our beta testing phase, conducted with over 500 users across Windhoek, showed remarkable results: 95% user satisfaction rate, average wait times of under 8 minutes, and 40% lower costs compared to traditional taxi services.
"Hyke represents our commitment to solving real transportation challenges in Namibia," says Tsenaye Namushinga, Founder and CEO of Namcave Technologies. "We've built this platform from the ground up, understanding the unique needs of our communities."
The launch will begin in Windhoek, with planned expansion to Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, and other major centers throughout 2026. We're actively recruiting driver partners and fleet operators to join our network.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch date. Together, we're building the future of mobility in Namibia.
